“Embarking on a journey to sculpt ideas with words”

I am often asked – how did I start writing or understand that it can be a career choice? I ponder back to when I was a dedicated academic soul and tapped on the keyboard only to write a research paper. Writing as a career? Pfft, that was never even an option.

But I guess life had other plans. It took an unexpected detour and flung me headfirst into this journey of being a wordsmith. And you know what? I couldn’t be happier!

It All Started With My Love for Reading

My parents have always been academicians, and people thought I would turn out the same. The apple didn’t fall very far from the tree. My love for writing comes from a deep-rooted love for reading novels from a young age, and I thank my parents for filling my little library. I not only had my fair share of books, but I also had the chance to delve into their childhood books.

I started writing with quotes at first during my graduation, and eventually, those quotes transcended into little paragraphs and took the form of poems. I could write poems whenever I was deeply moved by something. My writing was emotional, and it showed.

During the lockdown, I came across various job openings for content writers. Mustering up some courage, I applied for many and got rejected by most of them. But one application came through! And in no time, I was writing buying guides for my very first internship.

I realised I enjoyed it a lot; researching something new daily and jotting down points to make the reader’s job easier. I bagged another internship a few months later, where I strategised content ideas and developed content. However, I yearned to work with like-minded individuals and share my love for all things content.

Working as a Content Writer at WrittenlyHub

My dreams became a reality when I cleared my interviews with WrittenlyHub and joined as a junior content writer. I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm from the moment I stepped into the office.

I remember being asked what I desired from my first job during the interview. My answer was an office with a work culture that does not pressure its employees and helps them grow at the same time.

So, if you are wondering if I got that, then yes! WrittenlyHub is the perfect place to grow as a writer in the best environment. The work culture at WrittenlyHub is nothing short of inspiring, with a perfect blend of professionalism and camaraderie.

How Has WrittenlyHub Helped Me Grow?

Also, regular constructive feedback from managers and editors has helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses.

Lessons I Have Learnt as a WHustler

Since I started working here, I have imbibed several significant lessons that have helped me improve my content writing:

  • I understand the value of timely and constructive feedback, which has become the stepping stone to my improvement.
  • Team synergy is something that can positively enhance workplace environment. It makes the office not only fun but a safe space as well.
