Gear Up to Use Instagram’s Ultimate Media Kit Option for Better Brand Value
Industry Updates, The-WHub
With more than 1.9 billion active daily users, Instagram knows the worth of creators on its platform. Confused why Instagram worries about 50,000 active creators when it has about 2 billion active users? The answer is simple—business.
Instagram takes business very seriously, and currently, it’s focusing on the creators to help bring more business.
Instagram realises that if it can allure more creators into posting content often on the platform, their followers will actively engage with them. It will ultimately better its engagement rates. That’s why it’s already testing features like revenue share and creator funding for IG creators, which will provide many means of extra revenue for IG creators.
And now the new kid on the block is its ‘media kit’ option.
How ‘Media Kit’ is Going to Help Creators on Instagram?
As app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi announced, “#Instagram is working on the ability to create a Media Kit” on Twitter. But what is this option, and how will it help creators to earn more deals on the platform?

The ‘media kit’ feature will guide creators through the process of curating their sales pitches for different brands and businesses. It will allow creators to:
- write a short bio
- showcase their top posts
- display their previous partnerships as an illustration
- add key analytics and viewership data
It will act as a CV for your Instagram profile. Indeed, introducing the ‘media kit” option might be instrumental in helping creators display their brand value to marketers for possible promotional collaborations.
Earlier, Meta introduced a similar feature – The creator Marketplace platform. While announcing, Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, specified that they are “testing a set place on Instagram where creators can get discovered and paid, and where brands can share new partnership opportunities.”
IG is currently testing the Creator Marketplace on an invite-only basis with US brands. However, the difference here is that with the ‘media kit’ option, creators would have more control over how they represent themselves to brands.
Rather than referring potential collaborators to the Creator Marketplace listing, creators could share the new ‘media kit’ with them.

Can ‘Media Kit’ Attract More Creators to Instagram?
Influencer marketing is a huge deal in the marketing world. The creator economy is worth more than $100 billion and has more than 50 million creators worldwide. Eyeing the vast market, Instagram is making every effort to bring more creators to its platform.
While testing out another feature for creators, “Creators do what they do to make a living, and it’s important that it is predictable,” Instagram chief Adam Mosseri said in a video. Instagram is trying hard to create better opportunities for the influencers on the platform.
Will the feature work in Instagram’s favour?
To see a concrete outcome, one has to wait and give it some time. However, it’s a wise move by Instagram to start favouring the creators for more engagement. So how do you find this feature to be helpful? Please share with us in the comment section.
